Our History
Hotel La Scala is a 3-star hotel housed in a recently renovated historic 15th-century Florentine building. Located on Via della Scala, a strategic position for exploring Florence, the hotel is just a short distance from the Santa Maria Novella Central Station, the tram terminus, and the main bus stops. The hotel offers 9 rooms of various types: some in antique style with frescoed ceilings, others with a more modern design. All rooms are equipped with every comfort: telephone, air conditioning, heating, TV, free Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Breakfast is served buffet style in the breakfast room. Like most hotels in the historic center, the hotel does not have private parking, but has a special agreement with a garage just steps away.

Hotel La Scala is exactly what you’d expect from a guesthouse. We booked our room last minute on the train from Milan. We were greeted by friendly staff. It’s very close to the train station and within walking distance of all of Florence’s main attractions. Our room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent, and the chef was very accommodating. For this price, Hotel La Scala is perfect!
